Camera lenses are the means of capturing a photo or a video and they form the eyes of a camera. The focal length of the camera lenses can be adjusted using the zoom feature and in some cameras a fixed focal length is only available. Most of the cameras have zoom lenses which are very helpful in capturing an image which is far in crystal clear quality provided the qualities of the Camera Lenses are good. A Standard lens enables the user to take photos as seen by the viewer and in digital cameras, the APS sensors have a 35 mm focal length and the size of the standard lenses vary from 75 mm to 102 mm. The main purpose of short telephoto camera lenses are to take photos in portraits and are similar to the standard lens in operation and size. In contrast to this the long telephoto camera lenses are used at magnifying objects that are a distant place and the user will have the effect of feeling near to image on viewing through this lens. These types of lenses are used as mirror lenses in vehicles to view the vehicles coming at the back and are also used for astronomical purposes. The ultra wide angle camera lenses are used for capturing a large scene and are suitable for taking scenery photographs of flower gardens and natural beauties. The Fisheye lens makes the object in the photograph to appear in a fish bowl and the macro camera lense are fully dedicated to close up photos.
